Every year in November, Jack Honeycutt leads a team of men/women to India in order to teach the preachers and their wives in depth Bible topics in a lectureship style format. This is an essential part of the work because our preachers don’t have access to commentaries, dictionaries, etc.. Just imagine trying to study your Bible with absolutely no outside help, without anything to help you understand what you are reading. It reminds me of the Ethiopian eunuch in Acts 8:30-31

So Philip ran to him, and heard him reading the prophet Isaiah, and said, “Do you understand what you are reading?” And he said, “How can I, unless someone guides me?” And he asked Philip to come up and sit with him. (NKJV)

It is our responsibility as Christians to guide our brethren who are trying to spread the gospel. Paul told us in 2 Timothy 2:2

And the things that you have heard from me among many witnesses, commit these to faithful men who will be able to teach others also. (NKJV)

These men and their wives work every day teaching others in the tribal areas of India. They work so hard for so little. It is the least we can in going over for two weeks and teaching our brethren in depth Bible studies. Please pray for these men and their wives to have success in the work that they do.
